24 Hours in Bristol

The popular '24 Hours in Bristol' photo-marathon competition saw 10,000 photographs taken in a single day.

The annual competition to record a day in the life of the city took place over a 24 hour period and anyone with a smartphone, tablet or camera could take part.  The event attracted photographers from as far afield as Portugal and Dubai.

Entrants uploaded their images onto the event website for judging and the winning and highly commended photos were displayed in chronological order at a major public exhibition.

Judges included Bristol's City Mayor; BBC TV & Radio presenter Ali Vowles;  BBC TV presenter Michaela Strachan; the Director General of the Royal Photographic Society; CEO of Destination Bristol John Hirst; the founder of Smartphone photography website Mobiography, and award winning smartphone photographer Mark Tipping.

We managed the events, sourced event sponsors and raised £5,000 in prize money for the talented winners!
